ATI M10

LOL

Only a fanboi wouldn't recognise that Nagorak's comment is more about the power consuption of P4 3.06GHz

(btw, my guess is that M10 will be based on the R9500 non-pro.)

And if it's based on the 9500 core, I don't see how it could possibly have a lower power draw (at .15 micron). This may be ATI's attempt to compete with the rumored NV31M from nVidia. I wonder if ATI will attempt to move to .13 micron? If they don't, nVidia will almost certainly have an ace in the hole with this one...

Well the question is how far into the move to .13 micron is ati ? And what kinda power draw is there at idle and at full out gaming. I'm still hoping that power vr will come out with a laptop chip. That would truely be a sight to see.. if they can get it out on time

I'm sure ATI is very far into .13..... if for no other reason that they have to be in order to be competitive. While, at this point it's evident they were correct in sticking with .15 for the R300, I'm pretty sure any new core they might be working on will be .13..... kind of has to be, if just for cost considerations......

I'm not saying it will have a lower power draw. Although having said that ATI do have greater experience/success at creating low power parts than Nv.
