Anyone planning trip to Helsinki on early August?

Onslaught at least, right? :)

Reason for posting this now, is that if you want computer place from one of the world's biggest youth computer festivals, it is time take your favorite web browser and surf to http://www.assembly.org (signing up on computer place buying lottery has been already started.)

I'll be there (which also means a possiblity to see actual Bitboys eDRAM chip LIVE.) ;), as every year. No word on Bitboys and their annual seminar yet, but I think they will be there. ;)

pretty much yes. :)

In any case, a year ago, I was still trying to talk over them to show Avalanche / AXE in action for selected people ("behind the closed doors demo"), but then I understood how useless that would have been. what difference that would make? Most likely it would make more harm to them than any good. (I can already see topics like: "Bitboyz shows PC chip: it is much slower than X800 or GF6800! Hype Fails again!")

So, right now I am actually hoping that I don't get possibility to benchmark AXE card simply because it places me between two very big and hard walls. In the other hand, I have strong passion to see it in action and report it's speed. And then again, posting benchmark results of it (even they would be excelent compared on same timeframe cards.) does not sound good idea at all because all of that buzz surrounding name "Bitboys" and the fact that it's old tech that is thought to be tech in development.
 
Ordered my tickets... waiting them to Arrive. :)

I have Computer place as usual. I promised to Natoma try to make more general pictures available to the net while party is going on. (and less Seminars only stuff.)
 
I'll be there this year again! I am not sure if I'll be working or just hanging around though.. But if anyone wants to have a chat, don't be shy to step up and say HI! :D
 
Going to the oldskool area.

Btw, if you think you are worthy of an oldskool ticket and computer place, pm me. 3 out of my 7 man group cancelled their trip... :oops: AFTER I had bought and paid for the tickets and I think Im going to kill them. :)

Oldskool ticket is 40 euros ( 40% discount from normal prizes) thats what I paid for them and thats the same price i will be asking since selling them for gain is something very very not allowed. Returning tickets is also not an option since I would have to return *ALL* 7 of them and not have any tickets for myself or those still wanting to go there of my group.

If you are an established scener, all the better but other, interested in demoscene can contact too with some sort of explanation of why they just NEED to be there.

But be fast about it.

it's quite time I last itme heard about you. :)

there's the regular entrace ticket as usual. :) and of course, you can try to fetch old skool entrance ticket, which is a bit cheaper.

...yes, I DO think that Ksylitol as well as CNCD is old skool. :)

hopefully we meet... erm, before boozembly gets too carried away. ;)

almost all from Farbrausch as well as one guy from Conspiracy and AND will be there. They are giving seminars about Killer 64K Intros. But have you ever heard about any of these guys being at the parties without releasing intro?

wheeh, it seems that we have all what is needed for 64K Intro competition of the decade. :oops: :eek: :!: :!:
 
again... I'm expecting nothing of the demo competition but both 4k and 64k will probably be mind blowing again. What could it be this time... HDR?

and about combined demo... at least R.R.E. will have entry. ;) (though I have been too busy to participate on the project lately, but we definately have demo coming.)

a Real Express Bus? yeah, sure. :D Why not going from Savitaipale to Lappeenranta and then directly to Helsinki? naah, too easy! Instead of that, let's make a nice round trip around the whole southern finland! ;)
