I'd have to call those VC-1 cpu results, at 80% on a dual-core Pentium at 3.0ghz, are relatively disappointing at the moment. Still beta tho.

I'd surely love to see some benches of HDCP HD vs non-HDCP HD to get a feel for how much overhead HDCP is bringing to the party.

Also, they note this is a 7600GT at 580mhz, and that they'd expect better performance from it than a lower-clocked 7900GT. This heavily implies (to me, anyway, somebody holler if I'm missing the boat) a single separate block doing the heavy lifting, and it's going to be about clock, clock, clock. Which rather sucks when you have to choose between a price/performance high-end card for gaming performance (7900GT) or a higher-clocked midrange card like 7600GT for better HDCP HD decoding.
