Oh well, you know me :)

Isn't it nice that now we have a definite date ahead of us? At least the "OMG Q1-2006" posts have died down :p

You've had pleanty of time to get a pci-e mobo..
Agp is dead!

I hate to say it Digi...but he may have a point.

I wouldn't have said anything, it's just that rumors have Apple switching over to new mobo's later this week (or perhaps coiciding with the ATI release) which will have PCI-E, thus officially ending the Mac's support of AGP. And since Apple usually utilizes mobo technology after everyone else, it can only mean what they're abandoning is somewhat dated...

I just bought a new mobo a few months ago and I actually chose AGP over PCIe, my X800 TT has too much life in it to go PCIe right now.

I'm gonna stay a bit stubborn and behind the times, it seems me-ish. ;)

Silly dig.
I would hope with both companies soon having SM3 parts we'll start to see some nice SM3 games come along.
Sm2 is so 2003.:p

Pfffft, I always have and will be a cheap mofo and I have too much invested in my card to give it up already. ;)

When the day comes that you can get a next gen PCie card at what you consider is a great price....then it's time to move the old system to the wife & upgrade yours, DW.....

Hahaha, bloody brilliant...

Either I'm blind or I don't see a single box stating AGP in that pic.

***edit: by the way interesting placement of the boxes considering that the vertical axis is for performance; either that pic was too small for more accurate placements or the only real big performance increases will come in the mainstream and budget segments of the market.

That's likely because it's a pci-express roadmap.
Where's the agp roadmap?

Barried out back with Hoffa...
