Just catched up on some news over at Joystiq, and stumbled upon this here news tidbit.
It seems a continuing step in the resurgence of 8-bit nostalgia that we've seen over the past couple years, although upon seeing the picture of the rosy-cheeked, wee little girl wearing the item in question, I couldn't help myself shaking my fist in a curmudgeonly manner whilst muttering grumpily to myself that if you weren't even born in the 8-bit era you've no right to take our culture and traditions as your own!
Besides, those spectacle frames look bilinear-filtered. Heresy! We demand proper point sampling!
