0.11um suddenly got very, very popular

Meanwhile, GPU's seem to be the only ones choosing to go that route at all. Guess they like teeny-tiny steps... Hehe.
 
Its sort of like .15u. Its not advertised at all on UMC or TSMCs websites...almost as if it didn't exist.

But the graphics asic vendors have been using it almost exclusively for the past few years.
 
I doubt there will be a 90nm variant of either R4xx or NV4x. IMO that won't happen until the next-next-generation.
