Looks like this adds additional stability (Sony Vegas Pro fixes) over the 353.38.

This driver, version 353.45, is a GeForce Hot Fix Beta driver, version 353.45 that addresses the following issues:

Sony Vegas Pro crashes. In addition, this driver also includes the same fixes which were part of our previous 353.38 hotfix driver release: Chrome Crashes/Freezes/TDRs Delays when starting or switching apps & games with GSYNC enabled.

Thanks, I recently switched to the green camp and so far I'm not very impressed with their famous driver quality. The Witcher driver crashed my browser every 5 minutes especially when running in the background. That also led to games crashing. Worse than anything I've witnessed with AMD/ATI.

The recent issues with "timing" are due to some change made with the last 4 WHQL drivers, but in general I'd say NV drivers been pretty stable. The Nvidia rep stated these types of bugs are difficult to identify but they have seem to made progress with these hotfixes. Until the first "timing" fix driver (353.38) recent drivers did cause some intermittent crashes in TW3 for me, but so far the 353.45 have been stable w/o crashes. If you are still having issues try version 347.88 which was the last stable version until the hotfix drivers were released, but for now 353.45 is very stable.

You may have already used it, but I'd recommend using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to remove all traces of AMD or Nvidia drivers. First time I used it it found GTX 560ti driver info still in my registry.

From my POV it's the worst it's been in a very long time recently. An unfortunate time to be getting first impressions.

With a bit of luck, it'll sink in that WHQL literally means nothing with regard to quality.
