The same Twitter account shared some Navi31/32 info. One tweet from May 8th states: "Navi31 hasn't been taped out yet, and I don't think it will come out in 2022 H1." I thought it was leaked that the Navi31 tape-out happened 2020?

Strange, they didn't use an up-to-date driver... Why would one send out broken hardware? To let everybody test if the mechanics fit?

A first "test" of the DG1. A can't see, what driver version was used. But, it sounds as if several driver updates have been received. I'm supprised about this premature state of software...

Why is there kapton tape where the GDDR6 memory modules should sit? I mean, why would you populate a complex pcb when you can not use it afterwards? (I assume, that one would bake the GDDR6 first to the circuit board - or, is this a false assumption?)

I find your comment a bit funny. Did you measure that perf/Watts increase of VEGA over Polaris? Don't you wonder why AMDs biggest GPU arch change for some time leaves VEGA look like Fiji in many tests? Show me that magic of the binning rasterizer, primitive shader or whatever is your favourite...

You could use the "old" Fiji PRO branch of the driver, make it running on VEGA FE (without putting in TBR support/activation). Of course you would polish the driver for PRO software to (at least) not crash during the benchmarks... and you polish it for the VEGA FE release day. I think there are...
