    Things to ask?

no talk about pricing today, but personally, i think it'll be about the same level as what NV30/NV35 first debut.

    Things to ask?

General speaking, NV CEO already state that the NV40's performance will be at least 2x of current products, rite? 2nd ans will have to wait until NDA expires I believe.

    Things to ask?

I'm attending NV Editors' day tomorrow, so just try to collect some questions from you guys. What do you wanna know about NV? But I have to say I may not be able to post up the ans. because of NDA...but I'll try my best to give u back ans if possible. So, I'm just asking for help here.

    How R300 6X FSAA works?

IC, that means it's the mask to help us to find out the where edges are, and we only calculate all the sub samples color when the samples fall on the edges, right? And the way we find out the color of sub samples are not by drawing at higher res, just offset the coordinates a little bit? Thanks...

    How R300 6X FSAA works?

How about this, can we have different z values for each sub sample within a polygon?

    How R300 6X FSAA works?

Then what's the reason to have different z value for each sub sample?

    How R300 6X FSAA works?

Thanks, but how can zcheck can help to know we're on the edge? I think we can have 2 polygons with 2 different color, and same z value, right?

    How R300 6X FSAA works?

Re: how can the GPU knows each sub-sample's color? Hi Chrisoph, You mean we can know the color of each sub sample without drawing at larger res.? Because I'm reading Firing Squad, Dave said we have to draw in larger res.... And after reading FS, it makes me think of....MSAA is in fact a...

    How R300 6X FSAA works?

Thx, but if it don't draw to a larger res, how can the GPU knows each sub-sample's color?

    How R300 6X FSAA works?

Does it still render up the scene to 6x size, do MSAA and filter it down? Becasue the sampling method of it is so..... interesting, makes me think of it's not just 800x600 -> 1600x1200, can anyone help me? Thanks

    Radeon 9700 or wait?

Great! I'm the 100th. To me, 9700 really rocks, but since I don't need a new card now, I prefer to wait for NV30..

    What is MSAA?

So, MS could result in worse IQ?

    What is MSAA?

Yes, I know the full name of it, and SS is to render a larger framebuffer then filter it down. How about MSAA?
