Its been a minute for me since I last commented on IMG :)
As I recall many MANY moons ago, IMG had a systemic issue with microsoft driver support, they just didn't have the resources/impetus/wherewithall to have stable drivers for windows. And then there was the ongoing saga of the developer...
As in the Jodi foster movie ?....surprised that you didn't come across it long before now....and jealous that you had first contact with contact, it's quite a film.
The peripheral (Chloe thingy mortez, Amazon) is *REALLY* good. Kinda of a mash of a grown up version of ready player one with the matrix and possibly a bit of westworld...only 2 episodes so far, but first one is around 80 mins.
"the old man" (Disney) is very watchable, starts Jeff bridges as an aged retired CIA operative that suddenly becomes interesting again to various agencies.
Good to hear that people are generally talking +ve about the rings of power, I had heard that many reviews had been poor, but I had not looked at them.
@BRiT @pjbliverpool thanks for those comments on the later episodes of the Orville, give me enough hope to slot it back into my viewing. Unless something crucial is missed in doing so, I might just start on Season 2.
Given all the great things said here about the Orville, I gave it a go..it didn't bite me at all, seemed somewhat irreverant to the whole ST ethos to me, even the minor thing of wanting and receiving permission to bring drinks onto the bridge etc. The slapstick initial scene of the captain...
gray man...somewhat formulaic , but shows ryan gosling in a different light and he is good in the film. Plays a man with serious intent, and yet has moments of good deadpan/dry wit. Good action scenes too as you'd expect from the russo brothers.
Just finished terminal list on Amazon prime, definitely worth watching.... first episode doesn't totally grab, but after you get the plot it becomes very interesting. In some episodes it gets very visceral.
