Why do people refer to user hosted servers as P2P?
I thought only a few XBL games were actually peer-to-peer, things like MotoGP etc. Voice comms is P2P though I believe.
I don't believe at any point he's said he wasn't going to develop on the PS3 or that he wouldn't be pushing the Cell as hard as possible to achieve the results. This makes me curious as to why so many people class his comments as whining.
Are we so used to developers being so diplomatic when...
I understand this may come across as fanboy drivel but I struggle to get anything from that video other than Mr C thinks the 360 hardware is superior and any Cell benefits are rare and generally wedged firmly in theoretical land.
So what do you think they're actually doing to repair all these non-falcons, resoldering? And why bother keep patching them up instead of sending out falcons that are less likely to come straight back?
I think they were concerned more about 360's rotting in the ground after they've 3 red-ring'd the owner and been tossed in the trash. Or all those PS3s left out to decay due to lack of games.
What??
I feel exactly the same and agree 100%. How can a system that's selling Wii Fit be in direct competition to the machines selling the GTAs and the Halos?? It's like putting the 360's sales up against Monopoly or Scabble. I really couldn't care less how many units Nintendo shift, good for them.
The physics are absolutely bloody awful, utter show stopper for me. Boring and just completey unnatural feeling. I do enjoy arcade races such as PGR but this was just too arcadey.
I think screen size/viewing distance is important. I've noticed sitting further back (360 version) GTA looks considerably better which may account for some people preferring a bit of blur applied. If you're sitting close to a large screen GTA can look pretty rough, all the 'uglies' become very...
So how does a crash affect a multi-threaded application, would it halt all threads? I know on the 360 a proper hard lock will mean you can't access the system blade.
Saying that, a lot of these reports of GTA crashes say the sound continues to play as normal but everything else is completely...
