I recall the same thing. Remember ATI and NVIDIA are treated differently for some reason when it comes to the public. Odd, but true.
My only question is when is the power output going to be even looked at? It's getting completely out of hand that the latest cards are requiring so much power...
I'm just curious, how would they know a "competitor" is distributing the slide? Would be better to just comment on the slide or "provide" the rest of the slides if they want to clear the air. To say, "A competitor..." sounds like a weak PR move. I trust PR people as much as I can throw a car.
Here's a thought, How about websites not ass kissing hardware companies. It's so far and few to have an honest review now-a-days. It wasn't that long ago when we had honest reviews. If the card or hardware was bad they said it. Now it seems it's all business and the truth gets clouded. I'm very...
Going with an agency is and won't likely give you a lot of money. Most of the time you break even depending on the traffic. Yeah I don't make a lot of money, doesn't bother me as I'm not in it for the money. I do it because it's just fun and I like to voice opinions. Being a stand-alone site...
I totally agree, reviewing hardware is a bitch and if you are going to do it right, do it right. You wouldn't believe how many bad reviews are out there. So many of these All-In-Wonder reviews are absolute crap. They talk about the A/V features and then go straight into benchmarking video...
I don't mind sharing how much I make. I'm through UGO and not through private contracts like HardOCP and Anandtech. I bring roughly around $300.00 to $500.00 a month depending on traffic and what banners are fed through to the site. Server costs are around $250.00 (due to us being a file...
Hardware sites are a business, you are either a) In it for the money or b) In it to get free hardware. Some of ya would be shocked to know how much sites make. Anandtech for example makes a lot of money. I'm sure HardOCP makes a lot of money.
To think any of these big sites motives are purely...
WoW! The decrease in overall score is pretty sad. What a lot of nVidia fans keep missing is that these drivers were used in the review of the GeForce FX 5900 Ultra. Wouldn't you feel cheated that the results to make the 5900 Ultra seems dirty?
I seriously don't know why anyone would be...
I haven't seen any 19" monitors with a 16ms (62.5fps) pixel refresh rate. They seem to only be on 17" monitors. I know the Quadro FX 2000 and Quadro FX 1000 have dual TMDS to run dual independent DVI inputs. It's a shame that these boards aren't $700.00 then. Because I would get one then. But no...
The thing is vrecan, Video card manufacturers already include the DVI to VGA connector. So why not progress on going Dual DVI instead of one DVI and on Analog? :)
I'm using a Parhelia card now. I was on a Radeon 9700 Pro, but VGA vs DVI on that card was horrible on the LCD monitors (Hitachi...
I don't know about you guys, but there is no way I would drop $500.00 for a video card when it doesn't even support Dual DVI. It's actually quite comical. ATi and Nvidia incorporate the latest for 3D technology, but none of them want to jump out of the gate and start using Dual DVI. They include...
Here's a thought. Talk about the card itself. I'm not sure if you guys had the pleasure of using the 5800 Ultra or not so here goes nothing:
1) Compare length of card to other cards (will it fit in most cases you have lying around?)
2) How's the tempature of the card overall?
3) Is thermal...
