    Destiny [Hoping for PC port]

I should add, I got Destiny Vanilla first, last month. Great gameplay, but the campaign was sub-Minesweeper and the end-game stuff was horribly limited. The Taken King adds so much stuff, including a campaign and lots of Malcolm Reynolds... it drags a 6/10 game up to a 9/10 game. All it needs...

    Destiny [Hoping for PC port]

I gave up waiting, too. Really enjoyed the demo on 360 (Halo Reach's sublime gameplay plus my favourite game feature: loot!) and genuinely expected Destiny to drop on PC Q1/Q2 this year. In the end, I got the best version: the PS3 version! Play online for free! :D Enjoying it very much, but I'm...

    Wolfenstein: The New Order

Oops - sorry, I had that problem in The Old Blood, not The New Order!

    Wolfenstein: The New Order

Wow. I've been playing FPSes for decades, since Doom II. I usually play on the hardest difficulty, or if I want to complete a game quickly, the second-hardest. I get through dozens of games every year. I've been accused of using Aimbot in competitive multiplayer FPSes like Counter-Strike. I'm...

    Wolfenstein: The New Order

The Old Blood (apparently a slightly cut-down reworking of The New Order Edit: I don't mean reworking, do I? I mean, like, all different levels and stuff. Ummm... like a mini-sequel. Like Mysteries of the Sith, I guess?) has been $5 on sale, so I'll be trying that first, and getting The New...

ARK: Survival Evolved is the new Crysis

I hadn't realised until I just looked, but The Forest's normal price is only $15 on Steam at the moment anyway. Hmmm.... HMMMMM..... I wonder... can I recommend it at $15? I'm very tight with money. It's definitely worth $10. Yikes. $15?!? I have to remember that Normal People probably spend...

ARK: Survival Evolved is the new Crysis

The performance has already been noticeably optimised since the Summer Sale (if I can notice it, then it's definitely noticeable!). Sadly the game itself hasn't been improved - they seem more set on adding new creatures than improving the pacing, the fucking awful XP system, the fucking awful...

What are you playing now? [2007-2018]

No, if you buy South Park: Stick of Truth boxed on PC you'll get a Steam key - it's a Steamworks game. You could use the disc to reduce the amount of game you have to download, or you can chuck it in the bin. :)

Final Fantasy XIII - Heading to PC

I'm still mystified as to why this wasn't released on PC years ago. They had XIII running on PCs before the console launch!

Final Fantasy XIII - Heading to PC

XIII released a couple of months ago, XIII-2 came out weeks ago, and XIII-3 will come out in a few more weeks. The three together will be released as a trilogy pack on Steam, too. I'm waiting for the trilogy pack, personally, as I think we'll see it at 50% off soon after release. Thanks to...

What are you playing now? [2007-2018]

Download? Errr... what's there to download? I've been playing Inquisition for years - all you need is a strong chair, a roll of duct tape and a feather duster.

What are you playing now? [2007-2018]

Don't buy any Steam games you're not going to play within three weeks. They should be the same price in the Christmas sale, and with Steam Summer/Christmas events every $10 spend traditionally gets you something (e.g. a trading card), making it slightly cheaper. Van Helsing was getting some...

New Ubisoft games pulled from Steam

Yes, come back to Steam, where there is never, ever any problem with playing a game on launch day... Ah, OK, not Steam since your disagreement with them. Ummm... come back to GOG! They're quite nice. :)

New Ubisoft games pulled from Steam

I generally agree, but I find that Steamworks adds some small value to games (ease of cataloguing, playing with friends, Big Picture, trading cards etc) so I would pay slightly more for them. Settled for Watch_Dogs for US$7.42 on Uplay this week, as the Steam version adds nothing to it. Would...

    Diablo III - It's official

Oh, hello. I miss the Templar's heal, but I seem to have a little less downtime now, and it's certainly helpful when Elites get hexed. ;) (Just a 1080P shot as I was playing on my little laptop in the office)
