totaly agree with you on this one. this has been a problem since the riva tnt. main reason i got the voodoo3 over the tnt2 was because the voodoo has vastly superior 2d.

i got my radeon 8500 and 9600pros because they were the best price/performance at the time (in my budget). i switched to the 6600gt because ati had nothing to offer in my budget at the time. im glad i did. i really prefer nvidias drivers.

In a certain context it is funny. The other context is that a quantum leap is an abrupt state change from one energy level to the next, with no intermediates in between. For an electron this would be a big jump.
