One case for the 9070 at MSRP is mine (unfortunately). The only relatively modern PC I have that could take a modern GPU upgrade is in a Micro ATX case that can only accommodate a smaller card. I'd happily spend the extra $50 MSRP if I could get a 9070xt that would fit in my case, but since I...
I completely agree. Once it clicked with me it was of the most connected feelings I've ever had with a game. Felt 100% in control of the avatar in the world at all times.
We do, but they all have caveats. Windows devices are largely hampered by the fact they are running Windows which is not a great fit from an optimization or UI standpoint for a gaming-focused device. I think PlayStation can more tightly integrate the hardware and software design as Valve does...
Just me, huh?
To expand a little on my own thinking, a premium portable gaming device targeting 1080p resolution with the super fast storage access of the PS5, the PlayStation OS and PlayStation's designers behind it could have been very competitive in the market and I think would have...
Didn't want to post this in the PS5 Pro thread so as not to disrupt the topic, but I was curious what people think could have been delivered hardware-wise in this same time frame if they pursued delivering a portable device over an enhanced home console at this price point. They would have to...
I'm genuinely baffled as to why they even bothered if they couldn't hit a better price point. I expect the impact of this on the market will be minimal at best. Given the expenses inherent in developing and supporting a new sku on the market, what ROI can justify it? This won't increase...
Was anyone expecting that price point, because for me that was shocking. That really narrows the market for this, IMHO. What is the strategy here?
Finding the price/performance ratio compelling enough despite knowing of the bugs, performance issues and general lack of polish of this architecture I purchased an A750. Has been pretty frustrating to own over the life of the product, but I can say that the user experience is much improved on...
I think the judge's questioning around Sony's ability, were they to lose access to certain IPs, to replace them with either internally-developed IPs or by promoting alternative 3rd-party IPs to take their place was rather insightful. Isn't part of what makes titles such as CoD such sales...
Not to disagree, but another reason why industry people might be less likely to contribute to open discussion forums is the potential for a post here to make it's way off-forum to other forums, social media, or news aggregators where it will be presented in a way that is twisted, heavily edited...
