I think the more relevant chart for return of investment would be top grossing. GTA III is the 142th top grossing iPad game in the US App Store right now.

Problem is that you can't charge nearly as much as you can on a console. Maybe $5-$10. And only a much smaller percentage of A7-powered iPad owners will buy games like this. Also I was only aiming for 2008's GTA 4, with minimum PC requirements of a Core 2 Duo 1.8GHz and a 256MB NVidia 7900...

I would guess that you could kind of port (remake) 360's GTA4 to the iPad Air and have it look almost identical, if you target the iPad Air exclusively and throw millions at a talented team and give them at least a year... Probably not worth it for any publisher... :twisted:

June 2013 WWDC iPad 5 release doesn't sound right to me. That would mean to introduce iOS 7 and an iPad 5 running iOS 6 at the same time. Right now I'm hoping for because IMHO iPad in March, iOS preview in June, iPhone/iOS in Sepember and iPad mini / iPod touch in November is a nice schedule...

The new iPod touch looks good. Too bad it starts at $299 for 32GB. It's also interesting that the old $199 iPod touch got bumped to 16GB and 32GB are just $50 more (and no more 8GB version). That's a first. I'm wondering what that means for the rumored iPad mini...
