Nvidia Turing Product Reviews and Previews: (Super, TI, 2080, 2070, 2060, 1660, etc)

NOW I am really excited for Turing and RT as rendering technique :) If that is really the case, the upcoming titles with RT/RTX will be a whole new ballgame. And BFV already looks amazing, as SofTR does. Go, RayTracing, Go! :)

    AMD Vega Hardware Reviews

If you would have asked me after Polaris if AMD could make a bigger mess with a launch i would have said no. But obviously they are capable of doing that. The whole Vega thing is a giant PR desaster.

    AMD Vega Hardware Reviews

Vega is beta hard- and software. So of course: The less time, the less bugs to be found. Crysis for example runs shitty on Vega (FuryX is faster). So, yeah, it is a total failure on AMDs part. I don't know if Raja can hold his post. I think it is totally possible that there will be some...

Eehhmmm... nope. As everybody could imagine, if you did not live in a giant AMD RDF.

So .... when is this "wonder driver" coming out? :cool2:

I don't think so. And even if it would be the case, that one game would not compensate for the rest 99,999999% of games.

    Nvidia Volta Speculation Thread

Efficency = Power/Work. Thats what ai wrote. So they can achieve up to 50% more FP32-Perf with the same clockspeed, by adding more shader cores. Like the did in GV100.

    Nvidia Volta Speculation Thread

NVIDIA is claming a 50% Effiency Advantage in FP32 performance for Volta over Pascal. Gaming-Volta will directly benefit from this. And why shouldn't be there more changes for gaming cards in volta? For NVIDIA we have to differenciate between "HPC" and "Gaming" chips since Pascal. We have a...

    Nvidia Volta Speculation Thread

Although I would love have a Volta card - of course NVIDIA feels no pressure. So I guess we will have to wait till Q2/18. Sadly. But at the same time I think the new architecture will be mind-blowing. And I like having a matured product.

Or +0%. If you take minor hardware differences like different clock speeds or fan curve out of the equation.

    AMD Vega Hardware Reviews

First of all NVIDIA has made a much better physical layout (see Perf/Power on GP108) and also a way better binning. Better binning = lower voltage.

    AMD Vega Hardware Reviews

I don't think those are reference cards with DHE. Both two chip cards - different thing. And then check the reviews and look at the "noise" section ;)

    AMD Vega Hardware Reviews

300$ for a 500mm² chip with HBM2? Forget it. Make ist 600$ and AMD is maybe making a profit. Everything below 500$ will basically ruin the margin for AMD. thermal = power You cannot dissipate 400W from a graphics card. Even with AiO watercooling. NVIDIA has understood that since the...

    AMD Vega Hardware Reviews

AMD is "showing" RX Vega (well, not really, just some games running, no card, no fps counter) off vs. the GTX1080: It looks like the wonder driver is coming late ;)
