    NVIDIA shows signs ... [2008 - 2017]

employee of nVidia leaking quarter-numbers http://noir.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=aXtWEf4YxyGU&pos=6 This is an interesting story. Doesn't affect nVidia in itself, but still newsworthy.

    The AMD Execution Thread [2007 - 2017]

You're right. My mistake and apologies. Continuing off-topic I dug a little deeper: 'SI prefixes, for example, giga for 109 and tera for 1012. The International System of Units (SI) is independent of whichever scale is being used. Use with non-SI units (e.g. "giga-dollars", "giga-miles") is...

    The AMD Execution Thread [2007 - 2017]

Being a 'native' english speaker from USA you wouldn't use milliard, as the american word for milliard is billion. The English word for it is milliard. And I might add, the english version is more in line with international standards (who would have thought!). This I did to nitpick.

    The AMD Execution Thread [2007 - 2017]

According to Bloomberg an aquisition of AMD is unlikely. Bloomberg Guess the board is looking for a new managment then.

    NVIDIA shows signs ... [2008 - 2017]

http://noir.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601039&sid=aX2gNB2G61yg I suppose this can be of some interest. For the record: I disagree with him about the P/E-ratio beeing good. That ratio has been out of whack the latest decade because of bubblenomics. People bought stock not because of the...

What are you playing now? [2007-2018]

Minecraft. It's in development, single dude doing all the work. Playing an alpha. If all finished games were this funny... It's a flash-game with VERY blocky graphics, but that doesn't matter. It's in 3d. Gameplay wise it probably is most similar to Dwarven Fortress (or what it was called, an...

    NVIDIA shows signs ... [2008 - 2017]

One question if I may, does this also affect Nvidia's chipset-business? Did they infringe the patent with those as well? They must have made a great many million of chips which infringed anyhow, but if the final price is to scale linearly with number of chips that could very well get very expensive.

    TechReport Ads or Hijacked ?

Is there something wrong with this ad? It won't load and the pages take forever to load. Using IE8 and the newest drivers from ATI.

    NVIDIA GF100 & Friends speculation

Although Picao raises 1 interesting question: is there much software programming involved in NVidia's solution to tesselation? It's a remarkable hardware solution, but in all the fuss I forgot about drivers. How will their solution translate to drivers?

    NVIDIA GF100 & Friends speculation

That presumes they have 2 equal production issues though, both clock and functional units. Really does not sound promising.

    NVIDIA GF100 & Friends speculation

Hm. To me it's obvious Nvidia has made quite a chipdesign. And has innovated very well with their approach to tessellation. Truly I only have 2 questions: how well will this architecture scale (down) and is it actually manufacturable at the top end? Yes I know they can make ES, but can they...

    New Steam survey results

I don't get it though, with such a high uptake of Vista and 7, why is the 64-bit-versions still trailing so badly the 32-bits. To a point I can understand driver-issues, but this is nonsense. People are knowingly gimping their systems for what?

    NVIDIA shows signs ... [2008 - 2017]

Not wanting them to fail, just having problems understanding have they succeed. They have inferior products at higher pricepoints. What is earning them money? And more importantly; have can I get in on it?

How will NVidia counter the release of HD5xxx?

Regarding the market-traction of Physx mentioned in this thread, I'd like to mention my view. I have also been a fan of Novodex since before the takeover, and I have been dreaming of physics in games. But the manner in which Nvidia promotes it leaves me cold. If I wanted more realistically...
