Just a quick note for any other Win2k users like myself. Be sure and edit setup.bat and replace the folders pointing to "c:\windows\system32" with "c:\winnt\system32" since the installer is assuming you're running XP. If you already ran the installer before, modify the batch file and run it...

Maybe they're targeting it as a Vista game so that it can take advantage of the increased efficiency of DX under Vista? Wasn't one of Vista's main bonuses that DX is more efficient with less overhead and hence you can get more power from the same hardware? Correct me if I'm wrong there.

This guys been doing it forever, I was using his wallpaper back in '97 when I was still on dialup with Mindspring. For subscribers he even has multi-monitor wallpaper that spans 2 and 3 screens.
Anandtech has some info on a P-M w/ on package memory and voltage controller. No mention of a timeframe as I recall though.
