    Intel XeSS upscaling

Still I really don't want devs recommending we use framegen achieve 60fps. Stuff like that is what I mean when I say they're using it wrong or using it as a crutch. Using a crutch doesn't mean crutches are to blame for broken legs.

    Intel XeSS upscaling

I added some to my post. But I understand that the problems with MHW are not the fault of DLSS. It's on Capcom.

    Intel XeSS upscaling

I don't think those games look mediocre and I've never heard anyone make that argument. You're correct that the problems with MHW are not the fault of DLSS. It's on Capcom, who managed to make a game that looks meh and runs poorly even with modern upscaling and frame generation.

    Intel XeSS upscaling

To be clear, I think DLSS is amazing. But like anything, it can be abused. There's a lot they could've done, but what they did IMO is make the assumption that upscaling and framegen could polish this turd. It's right there in the system requirements. They claim framegen is necessary to hit 60fps...

    Intel XeSS upscaling

Upscaling at this point has likely been baked into the performance targets for many games. Capcom couldn't release Monster Hunter Wilds in the state it was in without upscaling. And the game doesn't even look very good. This to me is basically using it as a crutch. I'd have a different opinion...

    Evolve (GPU Benchmark)

Oh it's not a big deal. I was just throwing in my 2 cents. Not trying to add to your workload :)

    Evolve (GPU Benchmark)

If API reported % really is based some threshold determined by the manufacturer (as your quote suggests), this is useful information to me. For instance I'd like to know if my fan is running at or above what NVIDIA considers to be 100%. Keep in mind I don't know who your target market is, so I...

Having both is useful. Maybe you could show the RPM and then the percent next to it like (%) for context.

    Nvidia Blackwell Architecture Speculation

Yea I'd rather have a 3060 that a 4060 or 5060. Those cards don't have enough memory to make good use of new features like framegen anyway. Strange times.

Lol 5060 not even enough memory to run the AI that tells you to turn textures down šŸ˜†

Digital Foundry Article Technical Discussion [2025]

1:28:56 Supporter Q4: Should reviewers test PC gaming in multitasking-heavy scenarios? Is there any good testing of multitasking while gaming? I'd like the think my 13600K would be well equipped for this, but it's an assumption with no evidence. Some background tasks and especially some...

    NVIDIA discussion [2025]

The issue on NVIDIA and partners' side is that the cards have no way to detect when something has gone wrong. "Gone wrong" meaning the load is not evenly distributed across the wires, for any reason.

Asian Goggins ftw. Unfortunately unless you're a teenager, this is a good way to discover new chronic injuries. In college I did something similar and messed my hip up so bad I couldn't walk to class for a bit. It still hurts sometimes now and I'm almost 40 :ROFLMAO:

Digital Foundry Article Technical Discussion [2025]

Probably as long as the framerate never drops below the cap. ULLM makes it smooth regardless of the framerate. It's silly that I had to spend an hour trying to figure out how to deal with this only for the solution to be so simple. And I had to figure it out myself. Googling will turn up...
