I read somewhere, probably in one of the GDC conference slides, that the ring bus wasn't really a ring bus, but that it was easier to think about it as if it were.

I can see some banding on the ceiling, probably due to the GI algorithm.
There's also very little light dispersion on the rays passing through the fence.
Some time ago, while talking about NV30 vs. R300 performance while running Doom, Jon Carmack explained the different codebases for each processor family.
There he stated that NV20 basecode used 2-3 passes (per light I guess).
