This is pretty interesting. He's the executive editor of Game Informer, the world's largest gaming magazine, and he says that his source of the rumors are from the developers he spoke with themselves, so I think this has a lot of credibility. But I suppose there's a lot of time between now and...

I would say better than decent for a new IP. That's 60-70k according to era. Congrats to @Graham and the Sony Bend team.
Metacritic user score is currently 6 points higher than the...
There was a tournament yesterday. The tournament was 4 hours long so it might not have been on at the time you were looking, but viewers may have stuck around. Usually Apex is ~300k viewers, which is still very good. It's often times more than double of Fortnite.
I'm not surprised at all...
Yeah and they genuinely seem to be liking it. If they support it anywhere near the level that Epic does with Fortnite, I think it will continue to grow into one of the most popular BRs. It's huge on twitch and I think it will have good retention. The exposure from twitch and word of mouth...
I think this game is going to be huge, probably only behind Fortnite when it comes to BRs. One of the reasons Fortnite is so big is because it's so accessible and it can be a casual experience (but also competitive), so it has become pretty mainstream. Apex is a little more hardcore.
Reasons...
They've learned from their mistakes and put gaming in the forefront. XB1X is a good piece of hardware. Gamepass is a good service. Backwards compatibility, while not used by a lot of gamers, is a great feature. And most importantly, they've rebuilt their first-party studios. It remains to...
Sales are similar up to this point, but their trajectories are very different. X360 didn't fly off the shelves right away, they built their brand with great software support first, then kinect gave X360 a late boost. XB1 started off very strong, due to MS establishing themselves in the console...
Since 2015 I guessed that the US was 55-60% (~58% to be exact) of XB1 sales. I think 58% was close, but it seems that has gone up slightly since.. particularly in the past year since XB1X launched.
41M is not great, regardless of how well PS4 is doing. XB1 will be lucky to sell 55M lifetime...
It was in fact sold at full price all of December... there were zero sales on PS4s. And Sony basically controlled how many SM bundles were sold on BF because they sold out almost instantly.
Yeah Sony definitely has more flexibility on price. There is clearly still a high demand for the PS4 at...
Some things worth noting:
-Sony literally had zero promotions in December this year. They seem to really be focusing on profit. I thought they would at least temporarily drop the price to 249/349 like they did last year IIRC.
-XB1X launched last year around this time.
-Cyber Monday was...
The original question seemed to be strictly hardware related.
But yeah, I kind of touched up on that in my post. Sony may be taking a bigger hit to software sales due to multiplatform owners picking up games on XB1X instead of PS4. But like I said, software sales also seem to not be affected...
But those people own PS4s, so Sony is not losing a sale. Plus Resetera basically represents the core gaming audience, which is relatively small to begin with. And even then, there are a lot of people there who have stayed with Sony. Or skipped XB1X because they already own a more powerful PC...
Yeah the Spider-Man bundle was heavily supply constrained, to the point where it was being resold for profit. I saw some on ebay going for around $300.
Sony seemed to want to limit how many bundles were sold at 199. Benji at Era said that supply was preventing the PS4 from reaching stupid...
Pleasant surprise, thought RDR2 would take it tbh.
Never been this happy for a studio before. Congrats SSM... well deserved. GoW is one of the best games I've ever played, which in itself is a surprise since I started losing interest in the series.
