I have noticed that my 5800X is heavily bottlenecking RTX 4080 in Space Marine 2. Start of the first Ultramarines mission, 70fps both on 1080p low DLLS quality and 4K Ultra dlss quality.
More cache on 5800 X3D part would probably do wonders.
All of this sounds promising, especially PSSR which has potentiall to really boost visual quality of PS5 games. FSR2 really pushed devs into bad image quality, especially in 60fps modes.
They described Part1 remake as a project for new arrivals to get up and running on ND tech. And in 2023 after multiplayer project started idling, they probably had many devs without anything to work on.
