My local gamestop has had several of both for weeks. When asking the employee, she said PS4 was definitely selling at a faster rate, but they had been able to keep both in stock.
Is that trying to say that PS4 owners spend on average 34 hours per week gaming? I find that number hard to believe. If true, it speaks to just how hard core the early adopters really are. Still seems way too high for an average.
I'd love to know how you arrived at this conclusion.
Interesting point. What about potential harm from leaving a device in perpetual charge with sparse discharge cycles? My Vaio laptop had a setting for "always plugged in" use cases to stop.charging at 70% specifically to limit possible...
Did you read the following part of my post? I went through the same counting exercise you did. One charger and one set of each size spares isn't burdensome to me, but if that is for you I won't argue that.
Perhaps you shouldn't have "snipped" the part of my post where I specifically discussed...
Exactly...why?
Trying to avoid a repeat lecture... but, not so much, really. Most devices I own that accept standard rechargeables are AA. A couple of remotes are AAA. Fortunately, my chargers (both of them) charge AA and AAA. So all I need are enough spares to keep the cycle going. Since...
I'll keep being the broken record. Why not.
Shooters could be AMAZING with kinect. The problem to tackle isn't how to use kinect to control the game, but rather how to redesign the controller to work seamlessly with kinect.
I'm convinced that is the missing key, and until addressed by MS or...
Logitech G700 and G700s mice. As far as I'm concerned, this is the pinnacle of the Logitech line, and for my (non gaming) use is superior to any MS, Razer or other offering.
Standard rechargeable AA battery. Strangely enough, even though I use the USB cable exclusively to charge it (MS should...
For the record, I know a few people with android phones who travel enough to have bought spare batteries and chargers. Not something I need to do as my job allows me to plug my phone in at my computer anytime I may need to for a refresh, buy it seems their usage and travel patterns make it...
Broken record, but kinect can be revolutionary. MS/devs just need to stop trying to figure out how to REPLACE a controller, and start thinking about how to best work WITH a controller.
For MS, most importantly, that means rethinking a controller to work WITH kinect. That's the missing key...
Interesting. I never had a problem with keeping AA's charged for various devices around the house, so I never really looked seriously at a play and charge kit type setup.
But my curiosity now has me looking around a bit. Looks like there is an obvious market hole for an all in one solution...
Huh. Just looked out of curiosity. Seems the PS4 controller isn't cheaper after all? In fact, on Amazon its a smidge more. Weird. And charging station price ranges seem the same as well. Guess I missed the obvious. Do the MS charging stations require some expensive additional proprietary...
