Thank for all the info. So if I have a 1080p set connected to my PS4 then I get no benefits at all if I set the PS4 to 720p? Thanks but I thought that running it lower would be the equivalent of setting my PC graphics card to a lower resolution with vsync engaged to take the strain off the GPU.

I agree with the above post. I think MS will offer a higher-spec console and place Sony in a bad position. Personally the better performing multi-plats sealed the deal for me this gen. MS knows that the money is in exclusive DLC and what better than to have that DLC and multi-plat titles...

If the SPUs are so effective at these type of operations then surely it would make sense for Sony to use an upgraded CELL for PS4. It would be a shame got all of these dev tools to go to waste.
