    Switch 2 Speculation

Nintendo said they have nothing to announce regarding new hardware this year. That’s in contrast to last year when they outright said no new hardware. Makes sense they’d be tight-lipped now given they have special editions to sell like the Monster Hunter Rise version...

A bit late to the party on this particular rumor, but it hasn’t been mentioned here yet with regards to a potential mini LED display...

    Playstation 5 [PS5] [Release November 12 2020]

Rumor channels like RGT can't be bothered with things like facts. The key for these channels is to continue to produce content. When your business model depends on content that you cannot control the flow of, there's great incentive to give poor information equal weight or increase the amount of...

Yes, those mappings are correct. Automatic will downgrade from full chroma when deemed necessary by the system, I suppose. I wish the FAQ had a changelog. I confirmed with archive.org that VRR wasn't present in the original FAQ.

If it’s so noticeable, why did it take a service menu to confirm it’s occurring?

    Playstation 5 [PS5] [Release November 12 2020]

Don’t know how you got this idea. 18Gbps on 2.0 will limit you to 4K60. 4K120 at 422 won’t be noticeable for most. Full chroma bandwidth is only really necessary for PC as it can affect the appearance of text. Games and movies are mostly unaffected just due to the nature of the content, when you...

Consoles have several advantages over PC motherboards. First, they have no form factor standard to which they must conform that could make for non-ideal component placement. Second, their design cycle can be much longer, allowing for more hand-optimization and design revisions to get it perfect.

I think it's an unclear menu that's at fault. It's reporting what it's currently at - not peak capability. It does show 4K120 at YUV 422 as possible, so I think it's properly configured. I have a backup Ultra High Speed HDMI cable just in case.

Anyone able to output 4K120? I'm only seeing 4K60 on my C9. XSX does 4K120 just fine.

    Playstation 5 [PS5] [Release November 12 2020]

It’s been suspected since the original Gonzalo leaks showed a 8MB L3. We’ve known for a while from mobile chips that a unified L3 has performance advantages.
