Z crash.

Legend
My wife just left to drop of the Z keys at the Nissan dealer, when the tow-truck dropped her off she forgot to.

<sigh>

Happy thing, no one was hurt. My wife was going up a hill that had snow on top of ice and when she accellerated the 350 just totally spun-out. After a few spins she impacted on the curb bashing the front-left wheel back into the back of the wheel housing, but fortunately she didn't hit anyone else or get hit by anyone else.

Did I mention no one was hurt? That was my big concern.

Then my poor wife called me for a ride and I was still asleep and ignoring the phone.

The nice tow-truck driver gave her a lift home, and I woke up to her pounding on the front door.

She's trying to decide if we should rent a car for a few days until we find out what is up with the Z or if I me and the kids should just walk to/from school for a couple of days.

(I'm arguing we should walk, I can think of better things to spend the car rental money on. ;) )

Nothing wrong with a 5km walk in -30C. Why back in my day...

;)

Glad to hear no one was hurt. :)

Well a couple of pieces of good news, MM offered to help me get the kids to/from school and I figured out that the area my wife damaged will also include a bit that I had damaged on it and hadn't told her about yet.

(Slight scraping of the underside of the front-right bumper, it hit a little hard landing from a jump. )

I just got done having my mother stop by to pick my daughter up for a haircut and she was in a hurry and my daughter was running a bit late and she ripped me a new one for that and for the state of my house. (I had MM's son over yesterday all day with my kids playing, my house IS trashed...I just didn't need to hear it from her right now. )

Fuck it, what a lousy morning. I think I'll upgrade my rig or something to get the nasty taste of reality out of my mouth. :???:

Glad everyone's ok, this was a bad week for driving indeed!!!

I just got my C220 CDI on friday, no more crashes now I hope...

EDIT: maybe you should get someone to watch after your kids and make yourself and wife a nice evening? Better than spending your time with the PC

More of a .25 mile walk or less...
Oh god(s), you've actually DRIVEN your kids that short a distance?! No wonder we have a greenhouse gas problem in this world!

That's pathetic digi, you can't spoil your kids like that. Really, it's embarrassing for you AND them to be driven such short distances. :p

Glad your wife wasn't hurt!

Pffft, I love being able to leave the house a minute before he has to be at school and still be able to make it there with about 15 seconds to spare.

My wife took my Pathfinder to work yesterday, she got a ticket on the way home for doing 54 in a 35.

People tend to drive faser in higher vehicles because the road is farther away from eye level and it makes you think you are going slower. Try riding on a skateboard on your belly sometime and you will see what I mean.

What exactly do you do for a living?

You have nice cars, money for drugs, and you seem to be chilling on the internet 12-16 hours a day.

SHAME! *peirces dig with the arrow of shame*

Oh, and we still haven't even gotten an estimate yet from the insurance appraiser. :???:

(They flew a specialist out Tuesday to look at it)

I'll be calling the Nissan dealer today to find out what the what is, my wife is telling me to let them take as long as they like fixing it since we get $10/day for every day it's in the shop without us getting a rental car.

She figures if it takes 'em 50 days to do it the deductible will be covered and winter should just about be over, I'm not as enthused with that idea as her. (Being without a vehicle SUCKS!!!!!!)
