Did Phil Spencer mention ray tracing during the reveal?

Yes. It's somewhere in the Xbox News or GameSpot interviews. I think the snippets already included in this thread cover it.

Yep. I logged in just to see what cool, catchy name BRiT came up with this time, only to see that Proelite just won the internet. Bravo. LOL.

Lockhart will be Series S? Or Series X Lite?

On a more serious note, I kind of like the form factor. Definitely doesn't look like a traditional console.

And LOL @ the "boners and sex" commentary. No way PS5 can compete with that. LOL.

What seems clear is that RDNA2 looks much more efficient than RDNA1. RDNA1 is like Cayman before GCN.

Based on what? Consoles are always more efficient than PC anyway.

Very functional design for cooling. I think the square side dimension would allow a 140mm fan in that form factor? And put on it's side you can still stack something on it.

I hope they'll do a teardown long before launch.

I wonder -- assuming there'll be one -- what a mid gen upgrade would be called..?

If it's like any of my speculated examples, above...just extend that.

When there's a new "generational" leap, you change it to a different series.

My guess is this is the way they're going. The individual consoles won't be called Series X - it simply denotes that there's a series of consoles that are grouped together, much as you have above. If they launch of different segment entirely - let's say an Xbox console(s) explicitly designed for XCloud then they'll call it Series C or something. I think it's just their mechanism for clearly separating a growing range of gaming devices.

    Maybe.
