X360 : Developers may no longer be bound to 1280x720

    There are some rather erroneous statements in this article regarding LCDs and some of the speculation seems a bit dubious, but anyways. The TCR for the resolution is actually old news and was discussed here.

    There loads of games on the 360 that don't adhere to the 720P so called standard. That happeneded on day1.

    Day 1 titles were exempt due to the nature of Xenos. Other 3rd-party, non-MS published titles might have been exempt as long is it dealt with the aliasing issue in some way (be it some awful blur for instance).

    This apparent dropping of the TCR basically removes the hassling completely.
