Newegg now also has the ATI X1800XT in stock at $599 at quantity 22, and still has the Connect3D X1800XT in stock at $589 at quantity 29. Seems like the ramping up is finally hitting the channels. It's sort of funny to see my cart filled up with $30K worth of just one model of a video card.

Took a little bit, but this is good news. Its an improvment over the X800s, but they still have a little bit to go. I'm waiting for the X1600s and seeing how well the supply of those comes.

having 50 cards available is an improvement??

Of course it appears that the interest in these cards is *way* down.

    And for good reason.

Are people still thinking of buying an r520 in nearly Decemeber when there is likely to be r580 in Jan/Feb ? Even if you want an r520 better to see what the prices are like in Feb as well.

Also if dual cores are wanted then you have to see how well crossfire gets rolled out as that might also be a leader for how you wish to purchase.

And when february comes around they can wait for nvidia's next product which surely wont be far off, and when that is released they can wait for r600, then they can wait for g80 which should be followed by a refresh of something etc etc and then you can buy an 4 core dothan at 5ghz to go with it.

I hate to add fuel to the fire of a topic that's already been beaten to death (honestly the horse is past dead and has been turned into jelly, from the beating), but are the supply issues of the R520 still severe? I just ask, because I was reading some comments over at Anandtech this morning, for their article on the new Asus mainstream Crossfire board and Wesley threw a jab at ATi for still not having good availability. I know Dave has said on a couple of occasions that the rollout is going from trickle to a good sized amount, but what's the time frame for that?

It just seems like a cheap shot, when you can buy cards online at various shops. I guess they want a free card to play with. It just doesn't seem like a very classy thing to do.

$12.25 for UPS ground shipping and a lifetime Reseller Ratings of 7.98. Tempting, but I'll wait until after Turkey day.

I know it's a long shot that anyone will know the answer to this question, but I'll ask anyway: Does anybody know if ATi has plans to release an X1800XL with 512 MB RAM within the next month or two?

Don't know why ATI is boycotting Sweden. Is it because "we" beat the Canucks in the -94 Olympics Hockey final?

    This sucks.

Very tempting indeed... Now I'm torn between a $350 X1800XL, the $510 X1800XT, and waiting until the R580 launch. What a tough life...

FWIW, Newegg has 102 various X1800XT models in stock and 37 All-In-Wonder X1800XLs and NO 512Meg 7800 GTX models.
