Yes, but anything you use--for ANY REASON--becomes locked. And basically anything you WANT to use will become locked. It's just irritating, as I can't incrementally use something that's only slightly better and not lose its value, or test to see what an item looks like (important to me) without binding it...

None of my alts are the same class either, but many of them cross over with the same weapons or armor--and later on with rings and such. It just makes things irritating. Since 99% of the items you want to use that aren't tradeskill-fodder or other miscellaneous fare falls into the will-be-Soulbound category, I just wish I had more options with them. If they didn't lock EVERY magic item, I'd have less issue with it.

    ^^^

If it is an issue for you - think before you equip, then bank it or sell it. If it is Bind on Pickup - then it is another story.

Honestly, I'm glad they have stuff soul bound - limits some of the stuff in the game. I even dig that some patterns are soul bound. Makes people think to some degree before they roll or randomly pick up.

However, there is one aspect of the game I wish to see - and that is if someone sells something to a merchant - then by all means, that item should be available for sale to another subscriber. The next person who happens upon that npc vendor and actually looks through the wares, they should see what has been recently sold - not to include the item that the person sold accidently - but all items before...

I dunno - I'm fine with the loot system. What I am not fine with are certain items that can swing 3 different ways. For example I rolled on a 1 handed sword with nice dps (i think around 40 or 50 dsp) and a huge intel stat. The warlock and mage got a bit pissy. That set me off - because I play a Paladin, who can crit spells (exorcism, heals, and seal of command) and boosts damage and mana off intel.

That is what irks me. But not the boe and bop.

Yeah, I mean, swinging two ways is bad enough. But three? That's downright damaging to the social fabric of America.

Lol - ok. Enough of that!

I know you are kidding - but I really meant that a item for a mage which can also be used by a paladin, and also by another class... :( For some dumb reason, and I know all MMO's are this way, people fuss over items in the larger raids and instances...irks the crap out of me.

Anyway - thanks for the laugh.

    Hehe :)

Well, all you need is to join a good guild that makes use of a DKP system and all raid loots are no problem at all. Lots of people want it? Make it worth more DKP. Fewer people? Less.

Yep - I read that last night. The problem though, to be perfectly honest, is that they need to focus on server stability rather than push out the game to other countries.

The problem is not so much as network bandwidth - that is easy to correct - but more of just the sheer number of people on some servers adn the poor db performance. I swear last weekend I hit lvl 54 5 times. After each attempt it would last about 5 minutes, then I would get booted, and rolled back.

Lack of content I can understand due to the people playing, and the power gaming aspects, etc. There is content and plenty of areas to explore. But this server stability issue, well, that is a whole nother beast which they need to address.

    Just my opinion anyway.

Heck - even if we just do some rough math we are looking at 66 million in sales - that is a damn good ROI if you ask me.

I have no problems with server population, we have a medium population server.

I know there are servers overloaded right now, but they are working to transfer folks.

You don't stop selling a product that is this good, when opening new servers can solve the problem. I agree though they need to optimize some more and solve the issue.

WoW will probably hit the 3Million subscription mark, if they make the end game better and Battlegrounds is a success.

Yeah and they working on them but DB issues are a pain to fix. Luckily my server is fine besides the occasional AH/loot/mail/res lag due to DB performance issues occasionally.

Anyway, Europe has differents servers than USA for exemple. Theses servers are located near Paris (France).

The main problem for Blizzard is, while they were hoping for a success, they never expected to have that much success: they have already 3 times more people that EQ1 ever had. So they are fighting to put more ressources online and it takes time.
