At first glance....

I like it.

Viewed either from a distance, or from closer up, you get the distinct impression that "something's not right." From across the hudson, it looks like several buildings "cut in half", with the tops destroyed or lopped off.

From up closer, the skewed window angles almost give the impression that the buildings are collapsing.

In other words, while being perfectly functional, the buildings themselves will serve as a constant reminder of what happened, and that's a good thing, IMO.
 
I am kind of iffy on the spire. I think it will be impressive once it's built, and I'm sure that the actual spire won't look nearly as silly as it does in the models.

Other than the spire, I really like it. Looks uberAmerican, you know?
 
ya i have to dig Joe's opinion on them as well. they are a bit more "modern artsy" than suits my personal taste but it sure beats the Jachin and Boaz thing they had going on before.
