World of Warcraft to be made into a movie

And when you give him one of the largest budgets ever for a movie, $258,000,000, he makes utter stupid shit. Long live the guy who made Spiderman 3!

I dunno, I liked Spiderman 3 even with it's faults. Was certainly about a million times better than Transformers 2. I don't know who keeps bankrolling Michael Bay...

I really was pissed after watching Spiderman 3. How they could ruin a movie where you have Spiderman, Hobgoblin, Venom and what Sandman (??) together is beyond me.

 

Simple, add a dance number...that always seems to do it

Oh, and cast Eric Foreman as the biggest baddest villan in Spriderman cannon

Since you apparently didn't read anything but the title, it's directed by Sam Raimi and produced by Charles Roven (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight)

 

The movie has now been confirmed to be called Warcraft: Rise of the Lich King - In other words, we get to watch the events we played in Warcraft 3 and it's expansion, The Frozen Throne

Man I know so many fanboys personally who have yet to hear about this movie and will just explode with fanboyism over this movie.

 

The WC3 story was actually quite good. I remember staying up all night trying to get through the campaign just to see how the story would unfold. In the "battle chest" version there was a book detailing the back stories and such which was well written also. It could turn out well.

 

hum... Would have liked to see something new... I think a lot of people will be comparing it to the CG videos for the games..

 

I don't know if I'd call that "official" just yet. I see it on a bunch of news sites, but none of the sites that I see official WoW news at. And the article mentions a change to the IMDB page, but IMDB still lists the title as simply "Warcraft". Methinks somebody pulled a Wiki.. some random ijit changing the title on the page to get a rise out of people. Seeing as I've heard that the story will be an entirely new one not related to any existing characters, I'm not going to believe this one until Blizzard actually comes out and says it themselves.

 

I don't think just anyone could go and change IMDB titles?
I would guess it was a slip-up which was then fixed asap

 

According to finnish gaming site eDome, Robert Rodat has been confirmed to be writing the script for the Warcraft movie, based on Chris Metzens work of course. Rodat has been previously Oscar nominated for his script for Saving Private Ryan for example, and was director Sam Raimis definate number one choice for this job.
