Windows Vista Service Pack 1 delivers Direct3D 10.1

    I'm a little late to the party. WTF is a CC Shader? B3D says its coming with DX11? Please educate me.

    It took quite awhile on mine. I just did it today and was like phsaw why are they complaining after it restarted in 8 minutes... then it installed the bits and pieces and after a total of just over or under 30 minutes it was done.

    It is 2:12pm, begining SP1 install now on Vista 64 ultimate, with

    amd athlong 64 x2 3800 oc'd to 2.75
    2 gigs of mushkin blue 2.3.2.5
    250 gig wd
    8800GT oc'd to gtx xxx speeds

    pretty basic average computer, asside from the vid card.. so we'll see how long it takes.. meanwhile, i am glad i bought this laptop :)

    Vista crashed his entire network so he can't even bring is new laptop online :eek:

    Everybody I know with Vista says 4GB is what an enthusiast would need.

    I would be interested to see reviewson Vista with SP1 because I have the itch to upgrade. Hopefully there will be lots of performance improvements...but I think Vista + vLite + sp1 slipstreamed will be a good deal. They have already been able to get just Vista installing from a cd instead of needing a DVD.
