Windows 7

I've had it load a couple times out of my several hundred attempts, but it comes up as "We did not find any results for betaexperience productkeys win7 32 enus default aspx."

Yep, I keep getting that screen and I've also got the one Digi mentions about the can't find betaexperience blah blah.

It shouldn't be up, 12PM pacific should be in 2h30min or so if I'm not mistaken

scratch that, it's up

Yeah I meant it should not be up until 12pm PST thus it was not up yet, but then I found the link you have there. It doesn't work though of course and I typed it in so that if 10000 other people used it the link would not get hammered. By making it clickable I figured a greater number of people would compete and lead to my (and ours on this site) failure to obtain it.

So best thing to do is wait until 3pm EST and confirm on the main windows7 page that the beta is live THEN start trying to refresh that page that's giving the errors?

I've already done the sign in and account verification on two accounts btw.

Nice a simple "Server is too busy" this time. Sigh, I have to run in about 30 minutes. Not liking getting shafted with this.

Approximately 2-3 seconds will get shaved off the beginning of MP3s if you have set your Windows Media Player 12 settings to retrieve information from the internet and update files. The default configuration for WMP12 sets this if you use the "express" option during setup.

Looks like you can disable those settings in WMP12 Privacy options to get around the corruption until the fix is installed.

More precisely:
The problem only happens when you edit metadata on a certain class of MP3 file (a file with a header larger than 16KB). When the new metadata is written, it corrupts the beginning of the file. This can happen either when you edit the metadata from inside WMP or Explorer, or it can happen if you have WMP set to automatically fill in missing metadata using the online service and add the MP3 to your library.

Same here, getting the servers are busy message, and it's popping up fast enough to make me wonder if the server handling that portion is at this point completely offline.

At last finally managed to verify my email address so I guess I'll spend the next hour refreshing the betakey page until that finally works too

That page might load up eventually too.

I guess it's on the same server as the beta access site. The download server is still fine as I downloaded IE8 beta 2 while I was waiting at full speed for my connection

and now after spending most of the day to get to the unavailable betakey page, it now redirects to the main Windows 7 page.

What a complete waste of time
