Will Wii download games ever transfer to another device?

So basically I'm looking for salient interview quotes about how Virtual Console and WiiWare downloads might get handled, come the next Nintendo system.

It's high time I ordered Metroid Other M but right at this moment I'm just not feeling it anymore. Thinking about a hardware sale

The thing is though, there's got to be at least 500€ worth of VC licenses on there. Will that all go poof, gone? Can this somehow be detached from the machine, and instead attached to an account I get to keep, say, for the eventual Wii successor?

So Joystiq alleges that DSiWare can be moved to a 3DS, and even some native 3DS software can be moved to another 3DS. Meaning Nintendo is not as completely stuck in the dark ages as I had feared.

Now it would be a leap of faith to extrapolate a similar provision for the Wii, but hey, I've felt all leapy-faithy, all day.

Ofcourse they can be transferred if nintendo wants to. I'm not sure about wiiware games as I never bought any but VC games all show up in your club nintendo account and assuming the same thing goes for wiiware than there is exactly 0 problems.
