Dogs don't need the attention, they know they are the best. Whereas cats have this silly advertising campaign aimed at plastering themselves all over the web to make themselves seem popular.

*cough* Seriously? There's no bigger attention whore than the dog in the animal kingdom. Cats... You give them food, they eat. Then they sleep. If you don't give them food, they go eat in someone else's house.

I say the silly advertising campaign you refer to is disinformation staged and financed directly by dogs everywhere to try and ridicule cats, but of course dogs being dogs, they're rather clumsy at it. ;)

Yeah, dog owners do tend to tell themselves this.

Dogs are well known for not needing attention of course. And dogs have been leading the charge in the PR campaign for decades; see Lassie (propaganda), The Littlest Hobo (vomit-inducing propaganda) and Cats & Dogs (child indoctrination despite Cats getting top billing).

My cat demands my attention all the time...

    As does my dog.

It's because dogs are not as photogenic as cats.

Three of our dogs are female, and we have one male chihuahua.

You can guess which one got fixed.

"WOOF CAN SOMEONE HELP ME FIX THIS PROBLEM."
    "What problem?"
    "I HAVE BALLS."

I doubt that your Chihuahua considers that anything has been "fixed"!

One of the dogs is also 3/4ths lab.

Pretty much the only thing he can hump is her friggin' leg.

Because the mods have finally listened to 3D_world's advice.

And so they should: he's been posting on internet forums for over 10 years.
