I dont, the textures look like shit, not the resolution per say just how plastic they end up looking.

Thats because i have gloss mode turned on, they dont look wet and plastic when the engine is set at default. And TBH in terms of textures it makes crysis look like ass sometimes.

More like slime mode... why would you turn that on if it makes everything look like ass?
I dont know that Crysis is really known for it's textures per se btw.
Besides I'm sure someone could make highres textures for crysis that would make those look like ass, if I am to believe you about them looking so good in places...

I'm with radeonic2 on this. Crysis has great environments and you can't just stick some hires textures on Quake 1 and claim it looks better than Crysis. You just don't have the polycount for that.

XP32 still right now, even though I have 64-bit and DX10 gear. The difference is just not good enough right now for me to bother with purchasing and reworking the OS.

Next upgrade, probably, but I feel no reason to change right now.

If DX10 were remotely worth it right now... As even games like Crysis have shown, the quality difference can come when purposefully holding DX9 down, game frequently dive in performance...

DX10 strikes me as more risky still.

It depends what you mean by worth it. There are a few games out there that have DX10 only effects and when you have all that power, it seems pointless not to run the game at maximum.

Or put another way, games like Lost Planet, CoH and Bioshock will all look better on my single GTS 640MB than they would on a GTX280 SLI rig. Thast utter crazyness IMO.

Just installed Vista x64, and have found it fast, stable, intuitive, fast, and....just feels good. Runs stalker with DX10 which is fun and...not fast, but overall I'm extremely happy that I upgraded.
