Are the time settings alright? The date of my post seems 2 hours later than the real time even though I set a correct option in the User CP.

The main page has been working for a couple days now but if I use the main page's link, the forum is still down. If I use the direct ip (http://74.200.65.90/) the forum works fine.

I think there were competing DNS changes propagating yesterday. I still can only get to "forums.beyond3d.com" with its IP, DNS here is still borked even though it was "right" 3x yesterday. Something switches it back.

No worries about the rollback, shit happens. The fact that the forum is back up and running is good enough for me.

Thanks for all the hard work!

There's no question that DSN for "forums.beyond3d.com" is still borked in a lot of places. I would definitely recommend a link on the front page to the IP address for now - clearly participation is down and most probably have no clue.

A temporary fix for that is to set manually the browser display settings to UTF8 (which seems to be the encoding actually coming from the server/database). However, the content-type response header (and a metatag) identifies the content as charset=ISO-8859-1. Thus, many extended/multibyte characters will show up as garbled.

Smells more of a "*yawn* moderating yet more silly posts by Davros and nutball *stretch*. Oops, where'd my cup of coffee go?! Why is the server smoking like that?"

Anyway, gratz of getting back online guys, the internet has been a quiet place without this place.

At home I'm able to access the forums, but at work I can't. It still gives me the message about working on getting the forums back up. Everything else seems to work though... Oddly enough, it actually worked for a few minutes this morning at work, then it reverted back to the error message. Are the DNS servers still not updated, or is this something else?
