Visual way to create HLSL shaders?

Hey guys, i was just wondering whether anyone knew of a good shader creation bit of software which allows creation of shaders in a visual/interactive way rather than being purely text based. I'm a 3d artist with painfully average programming skills but I am pretty good at creating reasonably complex shaders in maya's hypershade.
I'd be interested to know if there was a way of creating shaders in a more intuitive way than in a text editor? I've briefly looked at FX composer and RenderMonkey and I also stumbled across ShaderWorks which unfortunately seems to have got snapped up a while ago.

Thanks
Matt B

ShaderWorks looked like it had good potential, but as you found out the developer sold it after development had stopped for a few months. R/T Shader is another product that I believe has a visual shader editor. It's expensive though.

looks interesting although there isn't a lot of information on their site, also the download link is broken at the moment :(
