Most AR content right now is just free standing AR that doesn’t really “augment” anything. My team and I have worked on location based AR content like guided tours for museums and we ran into a lot of issues creating localized AR that “stays in place”.
So we’ve built a publishing tool that lets us quickly map an area, add AR content to it and publish the scene without any code compilation. Here’s what the publishing workflow looks like:
It’s very basic right now but we’re working on new content types and scripting so I’m looking for feedback and ideas on how to extend it. We’re releasing on Google Tango first and then on ARKit so if you’re developing on either, please do sign up
