As per this news post Beyond3D's DNS appears to have finally transferred fully, so could instead of the bizarrely long URL or the 'browse.to' address you can now use one of the following URL's to find us:

http://beyond3d.com
http://www.beyond3d.com
http://beyond3d.net
http://www.beyond3d.net

I'd like to urge all users to not merely link directly to the forum as, now we have the site fully back, you may be missing out on some elements of the site. 3D related discussions may not now only be occurring in this forum now.

Cheers, and Enjoy! :)

Dave, I'd love to, but it appears that the system fails to remember the last login, whereas the direct link, "216.12.218.25/domain/www.beyond3d.com/forum/etc" works.

Now, of anyone who would have had an issue why did I guess it would be Simon? ;) :p

Did you actually try loggin in under the new URL? You probably have to create a new cookie for the new URL. It seems to work fine at the locations I've used and I've not had any other people report back problems (yet!).

Cheers

The forum does wacky stuff for me using the beyond3d.com url as well... there's lots of broken links to images, and none of the icons in the forum listing showing threads with new posts or hot threads etc show up, and a bunch of other strange things.

I think you are using one of the alternative forum templates (themes) aren't you Ich? i.e. I don't think that an issue with the address, but an issue with how the template interacts with the final version of the forum code (which I updated over the weekend). I've got to be download the ne release compatible templates and install them yet.

Oh yea that's probably it... was using the blue template. The white rather blinds me. :)

looks like u at least partly fixed the blue template now... yay. and thanks. :D

I'll have none of your cheek, you young whippersnapper. Bedford's just up the road and I might send the lads around... ;)

Yes I did and "therein lies the rub". It wasn't remembering that I'd logged in at all! I'll give it another go later after I've finished browsing the forums.

[LATE ADDITION] AHA! The problem is that after logging in, the displayed page was saying that I was not logged in whereas, in fact, I was. Curious.
