Epic has announced the minimum and recommended system requirements for the PC version of Unreal Tournament 3. From the early days when Epic first showed the Unreal Engine 3 Tim Sweeney had always maintained that the game would run on SM 2.0 cards. We've come a long way but this has remained true. Just means you have to turn everything down to the minimum. The UT games have always been very scalable.

But how do they begin to compare the 7800GTX and the X1300 for recommended specs?

They have got to be kidding... I didn't think an X1300 could even run UT 2003 well.

If they're not kidding, then hopefully it will run well on my system... ;)

So.. who wants to be the first person to benchmark UT3 at both minimum and recommended specs?

xbox360 or PS3.. with the xbox360 version being planned after the PS3 version.. and the PS3 version being delayed.. does it mean UT3 will be a xmas08 hit on the 360?

'Course it does. It's the major new large scale battle gametype.

Sure it does.. I think you need anything over 2Ghz, and a X1300 for that..

I'm guessing somebody can't read properly and mistook X1800 for X1300!

Yeah I thought it would, its just that your last quote made it sound like you need a console to play it so I wondered if it had been left out of the PC version.

    Nevermind, must have just misunderstood.

I wonder if UT3 support Quad-Core and allow me to play able over 30 fps in Conquer mode. :p

sory 'bout that.. someone made an Epic mistake and just, safety wise.. stick to the consoles.. although I seriously wonder if the PS3 version will see shelf life this year or the console people have to wait 'till 2008 to play it. "exclusiveness and branding" should go down the toilet.

Well that depends on your PC. If you have a quad core with a GPU to match then I think you can pretty much guarantee it.

I think the original question was more about the number of bots rather than the gametype.
