Aren't Epic due to release The Matrix Awakens assets soon?

 

I don't think they ever game a timeframe for their release.

 

So they're going to have a special announcement at the event.. wonder what it could be??

Perhaps an acquisition of a developer? New game IP? Or maybe just the full release of UE5?

Should be interesting anyway. Personally I'd love to see a new tech demo from them going absolutely full out on a PC with a 3090Ti... but I doubt that's going to happen. lol

 

Well their first free playable demo was released for the PC so anything is possible !
I'd love a VR demo too.

 

oh man. I really wish YouTube would improve their video quality for premiers. It's even worse than regular videos.

 

Potentially a look at The Coalition's character test demo in UE5.. Looking damn good.

 

I am looking forward to the day that artists don't have to paint on wrinkles anymore. LOL

 

Yoiks. With Crystal Dynamics moving to UE5, that's another inhouse engine potentially biting the dust.

Tomb Raider and Avengers both used the Foundation engine. Guardians use the Dawn Engine.

UE and unity are this generations game changers.

 

yup.
It definitely levels the playing field with studios who have enormous resources at their disposal and those that don't. ie Focus Interactive. Can't wait for Plague's Tale Requiem, I'm positive this will be an incredible experience.

Dount the sequel to 1886 would be an xbox/pc/MS game.

Edit. Great to see Epic games working together with MS with the support of the unreal engine. They have a history all the way back to 2002 (6th gen). Sony had their UE5 valley showcase, but MS has this one today.
