This guy's algorithm for soft shadows is brilliant, BTW. I spent some time speeding it up with a new shader and drastically reduced draw calls (previously 4 per silhouette edge!), and I can tell you first hand that the shadows are absolutely gorgeous.

Being stencil based, though, I don't think it's the way of the future.

Indeed, these are very nice slides. We should make it mandatory reading for any new forum member. :devilish:
