Thermaltake Smart fan 2 heat sensor problem !

just installed smart fan 2 ontop of sp-94 hetasink. only prob is, where should i put the heat sensor, btw th cpu and heatsink or on the heatsink ?

or should i just use manual control ? using the rheostat knob ?

any help would be greatly appreciated !

As close to the cpu is preferable i think, are you going to let the fan speed auto adjust to temp?
Doesn't you mainboard have an onboard sensor to check the temp?

I don't know where it's best to put it, only that you should not put it between the cpu and heatsink.

ive seen people put it on the underside of the heatsink. there is usually a large area that is not touching the cpu.
