I don't use the New Posts view so miss them. I'll keep an eye on it but no promises!

Is there a way we can have them redirect to an alternate forum instead? :D

How many threads that were not spam-originated were deleted as well?

The AMD speculation thread in the architecture forum is coming back yes? It counts as a good half-dozen in terms of the accumulated discussion and information, not counting the multiple threads with some very outstanding discussion that were irretrievably tossed into it and are gone too.

Non-spam threads shouldn't have been touched unless the tool is buggy.

I'm having trouble finding the AMD architecture+product+Polaris+Vega+other thread. If the task search is accurate, I haven't discussed Polaris or very much at all about GCN or AMD in the year 2016.

I wont name any names, but a French Moderator accidentally deleted that thread. It should be back again.

Thank you. I was worried we'd have to reconstruct everything going back to the beginning by memory.
We were all wearing monocles and top hats, everything was black and white, and there was the latest Jazz sensation playing on the phonograph, if I recall correctly.

I think that what we are witnessing is just a local skirmish an epic inter-Galactic mega-battle between the forces of the Light Side (The Bacon, obvs) versus the forces of the Dark Side (The Spam).

Bacon >> Spam. The power of The Bacon will overcome.

Spam the threads to outspam out the spambots. If everyone posts 40 spam post in the next 24hours we can crush these spambots.

I will pretend to be a spambot and via spamming infiltrate their ranks. Once inside with the help of John Connors I will destroy Skynet's central cpu core by wearing a wool sweater and not using a static wrist band.

For the time being I've enabled manual approval of all new user accounts, until I can figure out what thing to tweak to calm things down.

@Rys add link detection to the spam filter to handle where spammers put spaces inbetween characters in internet addresses to prevent them appearing as a link.
