No, it is PC because CDPRed posted that same videon on their YT channel and it runs at 60fps.

Frankly, visually game has many rough edges. But it is nice overall. W2 just set in open world.

played skyrim again after a while and... that game is bloody beautiful and lightweight. But, Witcher 3 looks even more beautiful and they say its not running on max quality.

im super hyped. dreaming playing this on PC instead of PS4.
then i looked at the minimum sysreq
http://www.pcgamer.com/the-witcher-3-system-requirements-announced/

my pc is waaaay below that :/

argh ghghghgh

Upgrade time :)

But to be honest it will look great on PS4 too, just not as great as if ran on uber PC.

10 weeks more or less to go!

I need to upgrade GPU, but AMD will release new Radeons at/after Computex [very early June]. It looks that I will need to get Witcher 3 on PS4, and they pray that Radeons with great price/performance will arrive before Arkham Knight. No matter what, I want to get something great for ~350-400€ max so that I would be ready for VR.

Tough timing.

I bought the ps4 for this !

but at this point, it is releasing too near Bloodborne. if I have given up banging my head on BB by that time, then this is a must buy. WTH, hope Sony brings that backup utility soon, cos MGS releases the very next month and I do not have so many 50 GBs in a 500 gb hdd . I might have to delay the Witcher as MGS and BB are not somethng I can even dream of delaying (however much I may suck at BB)

Just plug in a USB HDD. Oh wait. Wrong console. Well, its easy enough to upgrade the PS4 HDD isn't it? Just remove cover, change HDD. And 1 TB notebook HDDs aren't that expensive. On sale they are about the price of a new game.

Regards,
SB

but make 100% sure that the HDD you are buying fit inside PS4. Because theres 3 or 4 height types for 2,5inch HDD and PS4 only can accomodate 2 or 3 types.

Easy enough, yes, but I don't wan to redownload all those games in it already ! So, i am still waiting for that backup utility to arrive. In the meantime, I have lost count how many games I have already deleted, so  maybe just getting a new HDD right now might not that bad, but there are rumours the backup utility is coming in the next update !

Maximum drive height for PS4 is 11mm I think. Google what other users are putting inside, there are even some 2TB models.

Suprisngly you can get 2Tb drives at 9.5mm high! I just linked to one over in the PlayStation 4 thread in the main Console Forum.

Would it work with the Xbox One too, because I need a new HD for the console so badly!

New info from the German magazine Gamestar --taken from GAF. Sandbox elements, but not like Skyrim. 900p on the Xbox One:

http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1014355

Gameplay
  • There are 4 difficulties (easy, medium, hard and dark) which differ in the skill of the monsters you face. Hitpoints remain the same.
  • You can bargain for more money after finishing your monster contract through some sort of minigame.
  • The side quests are extremely well made with great writing and branching.
  • Potions are a necessity on higher difficulty levels. You only need to craft a potion once and you can refill it if you have enough alcohol present. Potions are upgradeable for stronger effects. Stronger potions will increase your toxicity more
  • Novigrad and No Man's Land are indeed one single map, much bigger than Skyrim. The isles of Skellige form the other big part of the game. Next to that, there are 5-6 other separated locations, including Kaer Morhen.
  • No enemy respawning or at the least not very frequently
  • Best items in the game must be crafted
  • They were very impressed with the story branching and how it is not always obvious. Correcting 'wrong' choices by saving/reloading will be very difficult if not impossible.
  • Contrary to BioWare games dialogue options are not good or bad, this you will have to figure out for yourselves.
  • They really liked the in-game card game Gwent, praising its design.
  • The game features two really big cities: Novigrad and Oxenfurt, both very lively.
  • The are of No Man's Land features 25 smaller towns, some of which are the size of Flotsam from The Witcher 2.
  • Geralt can rob people, although the system is too easy and feels a bit lacking.
  • Journalist (level 7) was one shotted by a wyvern (level 24). No level scaling.
  • Ciri sequences will be (in total) 5-10h and feel more like an action-adventure game than an RPG
  • Extra storage can be made by crafting saddle bags for your horse.
  • Many small details such as Roach stopping to eat apples from a basket
  • All equipped items are visible in-game on Geralt
  • Fist-fighting is back, this time no QTE
  • World never felt empty
  • Journalist didn't encounter any simple fetch quests

Technical
  • The HUD is fully customizable. Icons and quest markers on the map can also be deactivated. Audiovisual hints (e.g. people screaming for help) will be present if you wish to do so.
  • Journalist encountered no clone NPC's
  • Controller feels superior to keyboard+mouse.
  • The extremely annoying doors from The Witcher 2 are gone. Doors are now opened automatically, no button pressing. No loading times for entering buildings either.
  • Day 1 patch confirmed
  • Xbox One resolution will stay at 900p
  • Geralts beard will grow over time
  • Switching between controller and mouse (for menu's) is easy and fluid
  • Most impressive dynamic weather system in any game he has ever played
  • They encountered very few bugs, no crashes of freezes.
  • Ultra seems to have a big effect on the quality of vegetation and character models[
  • No slider for LOD
  • Visual gore more prominent than in The Witcher 2

Sounds great. Excellent improvements over W2. addresses a lot of little annoyances.
