Am I correct in thinking that the nda is lifted in around 10 mins from now? (3.00pm Central European Time)

G80 launch event should start at 19:00 CET AFAIK, so it makes sense..

Cards just went online to buy in Denmark. Ordered a XFX 8800GTX without looking a the price first!

Will have some major explaining to do, once my better half see that price: initial prices for a GTX is 700 Euro here.

Oh BTW: Initial prices in Denmark for a 8800GTS is aorund 535 Euro. So the higher price (+~30 percent) of the GTX almost equals the higher performance. Neat.

Right, so they are going on sale 5 hours before the official NDA expires ? What de feck ?

I assume they are busily soldering resisters onto cards at the LAN party hence the delay?

Do you mean I have to wait another 5 hours for some fat slobs drinking coke and eating burgers who have never paid any taxes in their life to get out of bed at 10am and then play at 640x480 0AA and 0AF ?Feck you California, feck you Arnold Swartzthingy, and feck you Beach Boys.

I'm off for a lie down and a quiet cry.

PS Even MSI think the NDa has expired http://www.msi.com.tw/index.htm

Heh, you're not looking hard enough. You might need to "tweak" your google search to find out who didn't get the NDA memo ;)

Hasn't this happened before? Wasn't it the G70 launch that was ridden with timezone-related confusion?

See that's why things have been going down-hill since the fall of the British Empire. Back then you *knew* what the time was. *shakes fist*

Judging by what I've seen so far, the reviews around the web won't tell us much of anything we don't already know and will be loaded with swathes of direct quotes from the reviewer's guide.

It'd be much better if we can just read the reviewer's guide ourselves. Seems much better written than a lot of reviews, too.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed NVidia posts detailed techie stuff for download.

Oh and I'll be down the pub anyway I expect.

Ah the smell of new hardware reviews about to be released. Like the aroma of cookies from the oven.
