So the only actual gameplay footage shown was all cross gen titles. I don't buy that Senua footage.

Yeah, looked very trailer'ish. Senua was all over the screen so if it was gameplay, good move I'd say because it looks like a movie.

The animation isnt believable at all. This will probably be as representative as the BF2042 reveal trailer.

It's been done, just remove the GUI entirely and you get a fairly similar effect.

The animation in Ryse is quite a lot worse than what's in that Senua trailer. None of the telltale signs of user controlled gameplay animation are present.

It's been 8 years since Ryse. imo, I think it's okay to believe it's all a QT sequence, very little player controlled anything there. I think what they did with TLOU2 was a huge step forward for actual gameplay animations; I think this is just a modern form of a cutscene being played out through QTE.

Ya but outside of ND, animation hasn't really progressed in that 8 years. Ryse is still among the best out there. I feel like this entire slice was created just for this trailer.

That reminds me ive only played about the first 30 minutes of both Ryse and Sensua's Sacrifice (got distracted by other games)

ps: If this is the game awards why all the trailers for unreleased games (is there a best trailer category)

The only way to get anyone to tune in is so they can see the trailers. No one cares about awards for games.

This is the last year I am watching the actual show. It was way to long with their push to put in twitch streamers and all the diversity stuff. They even put in a woman who tried to use her race to get free stuff from microsoft and sent her fans after them.

Indeed. I scrolled through some live-take threads on the show and I have to say I am glad I entirely skipped it. I only had about 15 minutes of YT trailers to go through for what I missed.

Yup , its like all the other award shows. My wife watches the red carpets for them and then thats it.

That's why I only watched it as part of a "co-stream" where a bunch of Twitch personalities that I watch commented and chatted while re-streaming it live on their channel. I would have been bored to tears if I had to just watch the awards show itself without the other banter and commentary.
